The Quentin Blake Centre will be the UK’s home for illustration.
We’re transforming a fascinating but forgotten heritage site in central London into the destination for this varied and vital art form.
New River Head has been hiding in plain site for decades and we can’t wait to uncover its secrets.
From hundreds of applications, we’ve chosen Tim Ronalds Architects to deliver the project. Their experience on historic and cultural sites like Wilton’s Music Hall and Hackney Empire will help us transform the site into exhibition galleries, education studios and events spaces while preserving the unique features that make New River Head so special.
A shop, café and gardens will round out the experience, making the QB Centre a great day out for everyone.
We’re also going to be home to the Quentin Blake Archive of 40,000 works by our organisation’s founder. We can’t wait to share more of his delightful and celebrated work for generations to come.
