About the course:

Explore a new illustration technique each week this spring as part of this fun, gentle introduction to illustration with award-winning illustrator and educator Merlin Strangeway. You'll be set a series of mini creative projects covering techniques including drawing, typography, printmaking and pop-up.

Unwind at the end of the day and meet like-minded people as you explore your creative side. Ideal for the beginner or the curious! No experience necessary.

All materials provided, but feel free to bring a sketchbook.

About the tutor:

Merlin is an award winning illustrator, scribe & educator, working at the House of Illustration since 2011. She is passionate about using the arts as a tool for social engagement and change and believes everyone has the ability to make beautiful illustrations! Merlin specialises in scientific illustration, and currently holds the post of Medical Illustrator in Residence at Guy’s Pathology Museum, Kings College, London.  She has taught students of all ages for House of Illustration since 2011, lectured internationally and taught at numerous art colleges, schools and universities across the UK. Visit Merlin's website.

This ticket will entitle you to gallery entry for the duration of your House of Illustration course.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid admissions allow us to reclaim tax on the full value of the ticket price, as well as the donation. This means an extra 25p in each pound.

If purchasing more than one ticket at the Gift Aid price the additional tickets must be for family members.
