“Amazing teaching; everything broken down into manageable tasks; full of techniques that we can use in school; good pace… and good lunch! Thank you.” Class teacher, Hampstead
Our Primary CPD session is back by popular demand – recommended by 100% of previous attendees.
Join us for an immersive day of practical inspiration for use in the classroom. We’ll guide you through a range of illustration activities which you can build into your lesson-planning and teaching straight away.
Our unique approach brings practical skills, fresh ideas and a great opportunity to work with fellow teachers. You’ll be inspired by our exhibitions, learn more about what illustration is and find out how it can help you do your job.
Students benefit from illustration in numerous ways: it’s an engaging and enjoyable way to encourage creative thinking, build confidence and equip learners with practical skills. We use illustration in our schools’ workshops to teach every subject in the curriculum and on this CPD you’ll learn how to do so, too.
Delivered by House of Illustration’s Head of Education Emily Jost and professional illustrator and educator Toya Walker, this CPD is ideal for all primary teachers, subject co-ordinators and senior leaders – especially those who “can’t draw”!
The price is £125 per teacher, or £200 for two teachers from the same school, and includes lunch and gallery entry.
