Working from extensive photographic reference, you will develop your understanding of animal forms, first through collage and then through drawing, creatively experimenting with colour and texture.
Sion will share insight and knowledge on exploring the subject through drawing, with an emphasis on balancing anatomic understanding with capturing a sense of life and movement.
This masterclass is a self-contained session but also offers a taster of our forthcoming summer term short course 'Illustrating the Animal Kingdom' also taught by Sion.
Materials are provided but feel free to bring any favourite materials and a sketchbook.
