The Lauren Child Poetry Illustration Prize

An international prize for illustrators aged 18- 25 years

In partnership with the Waterstones Children’s Laureate 2017-2019 – Lauren Child, the Betjeman Poetry Prize and St Pancras International, we've announced a brand new international prize for young illustrators.

The Lauren Child Poetry Illustration Prize invites 18- 25 year olds to illustrate a poem by a Betjeman Poetry Prize finalist. There is a £1000 first prize, plus prizes for commended illustrators. The top 12 illustrators will be exhibited at St Pancras International station in September 2018.

The judges include the award-winning author and illustrator Lauren Child, House of Illustration's director Colin McKenzie, as well as Queen's Gold Medal winning poet and artist Imtiaz Dharker.

The competition is open until 9am GMT on Tuesday 1 June 2018.
